Sunday Dinners

I love Sunday's.  For me it is a day for relaxing, reflection and a day for family.  Sunday is the one day, everyone in the Haley house is home. That being so, just your every day sort of meal, just doesn't cut it.

Without hesitation, I pull out all the stops when it comes to making dinner.  This is when I make all what my daughter calls the "fancy" stuff.  I actually look forward to Sundays.  Even today. My husband took over the dinner plans and cooking, while I stayed in bed nursing myself back to healthy.

Making such a dinner is not his thing.  He loves to eat, but he's is okay with letting me hold the reign of queen of the kingdom called kitchen.  There I reign and yes it is good to be the queen.  It is where I am my happiest.

But today, my awesome husband is temporarily taking over reign of the kitchen and is fixing Sunday dinner.   Today he is being super husband and super dad, as he nurses me back to health, watches over the kids and now dinner...

So,what's for dinner?

The house smelled devine!  I am super proud of my husband for making Sunday dinner and watching the kids and yes for taking care of me...He's a keeper.

How do you think he did for his first meal?

Sorry no pic of the rest of the food, but it was really good.
This is the Herb Rub Chicken and Buttermilk Biscuit.
Okay, for my husbands first all from scratch meal he did pretty good.  Oh and it was so yummy!   uh-oh that might not be a good thing...no worries, he has to go make the money to bring home the bacon...and usually he's to tired to fry it up in a pan.  That is why I will rule the kitchen forever!
