But since we are moving I agreed to save where I can. That translates to not spend if there isn't a need. Well, I can't lie this just about put me into a tailspin of anxiety. Where and how would I express my creativity? It's a good thing we have tons of crayons and coloring books... (said with a wink and smile).
Suddenly, I started noticing on Facebook pages and on other blogs that people were turning trash into treasure. With each item I saw and coveted, I began to wish I could do the same thing. I believe at some point without actually saying a word to anyone, I must have prayed, I must have believed I could the same thing if given a chance.
It wasn't long before when the solution to my problems would present itself. That same week, on Thursday evening - just after sunset - my mother came driving up to the house and said, "You need to come with me. There is a shelf you need to get." Knowing Thursday is bulk garbage day for my community, I asked my visiting aunt to watch my kids as I jumped into the car. On our way just around the corner, knowing we get a lot of scrappers and junkers, I hoped no one had already taken the item my mom had told me about.
When we arrived there was one car and thankfully, the two men were not interested in the shelf. I pushed the garbage aside that was blocking me from see it and within seconds, I was lifting it into the car.

Now, I know these items aren't much of anything, but they are the start of something wonderful...I can feel it. Stay tuned...my first order of business is to do something with that shelf. I think I am going to put it in my kitchen so I can have a place to put my potatoes, onions and apples.
See you next week...or a few days...maybe hours since I have a lot of post that just sitting in draft mode waiting to be edited and posted. I know, I know...But that's what happens when you are busy with four kids and rummaging through garbage. (Said with a smile and wink).
